Common PPF Questions

How long does PPF last?
High-quality PPF from STEK and Geoshield typically lasts 7–10 years with proper care. The film is backed by a manufacturer warranty against yellowing, cracking, peeling, and delamination.
Can PPF be removed without damaging paint?
Yes. When professionally removed, PPF comes off cleanly without harming the original paint underneath. The paint beneath is typically in better condition than when the film was first applied.
How does the self-healing feature work?
The film's top coat has an elastomeric polymer that reforms when heated. Minor scratches and swirl marks disappear when exposed to warm water or sunlight. Deeper scratches may require a heat gun.
How long does installation take?
Partial front takes 1–2 days, full front takes 2–3 days, and full body coverage takes 4–5 days. We never rush — precision is our priority.
Can I apply PPF and ceramic coating together?
Absolutely — and we highly recommend it. Ceramic coating on top of PPF adds hydrophobic protection, makes the film easier to clean, and enhances the gloss.
